and when, did you become interesUxt in painting?
Sandra Forbuah: I was always interested in art. 1 wanted to be a fashion designer and illustrator I went to art school at Maryland Institute of Art. My parents didn't let me finish, as my grades weren’t good — at first we weren't painting, we just studied the history of art.
After I left art school, I started modeling, but even then, I was always drawing, sketching everywhere I went I modeled until I was 26 or 27, until I married Wade Massie, from Massies Comer (in Rappahannock County.)
