County Administrator John McCarthy said the most Rappahannock could receive under the legislation is $250,000.
The bills would make Rappahannock eligible to enter a cost-sharing agreement with an adjacent county. As part of the agreement, Rappahnnock would be able to P‘KI?y-hack on the partner county’s “local composite index" (LCI), a factor used in determining how much money a jurisdiction will receive from the state. Rappahannock has the highest LCI in the area, and would stand to gain money if it partnered with an adjacent jurisdiction.
County officials say partnering plans are on the back burner until the legislation makes it through the General Assembly.
