Long the official entry-taker for Virginia point-to-point meets, and, more recently, races in Maryland and Pennsylvania, Central Entry this spring has launched an expanded history section, with complete results from as far back as 1970 from all Virginia, Midwest and MidAtlantic pomt-to-points, as well as some archived National Steeplechase Association results.
Central Entry creator Will O’Keefe, who also acts as the “voice of steeplechasing" as announcer for all Virginia race meets, said that chronicling the sport’s history has long been his plan.
“Once we got the data in the system, it made it really quite simple,” O’Keefe said of the innovative Central Entry <iatabase. “You can search the entire history of a jockey, for instance, from the 1970s,” or a single horse that made a single start, for example, in 1992.
