served a bowl of soup in a handmade ceramic bowl in exchange for a cash donation ($10 minimum) to fight hunger. Surrounding the tables will be a student Art Show with work in paint, pencil, mixed media, and 3-D. Local artists Steven Kenny, Not Putnam, Bonita Gowan and Corey Caulfield will judge the show. Participants may keep the bowl as a reminder of the meal’s purpose. Proceeds will be donated to Project Concern International.

Pack 123 will have their 5th Annual Pancake fund raiser Breakfast on March 8 at the Washington V.F.D. firehall. It will be an all-youcan eat breakfast starting at 7:00 a.m. and running until 10 a.m. Adults are still $6 and children 4-12 are $4.00 and under 3 is free. (No inflation for 5 years, where can you beat this?) We are serving pancakes, eggs, biscuits, gravy, ■sausage, coffee, juice, and milk. All proceeds help support our pack. Questions? Rights Committee
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board and Area Agency on Aging is seeking individuals who are interested in serving as a volunteer on the Local Human Rights Committee (LHRC). Individuals who are receiving mental health services are encouraged to apply. This Committee meets quarterly (January, April, July, and October) at 1:30 p.m. in Culpeper and is responsible for ensuring that individuals receiving mental health, mental retardation, and substance abuse services are being treated with dignity, are free from abuse or neglect, and that their basic rights are being protected. All are invited to join Piedmont Softball Association’s Sixth Annual Chili Bowl Cook-off on Saturday, March 15 from 3-7 p.m., at the Bill Payne Auction Gallery, on Route 211, Amissville. Enter your chili recipe or sample a variety of local recipes! Admission is $6 per person/kids under six free—all you can eat! (Hot dogs and drinks will be available for purchase) There will be 50/50 raffles, bake sale and our favorite, cake walks!
