8F: Difficult question, because I’m still being influenced. I’m influenced by my students, Sir Alfred Munnings, by John Singer Sargent, by Laszlo. My daughter gave me a Laszlo book for Christmas, and it just blew me away, I just love his portraits. 1 have tons of Munnings, which I’m always going back to when I’m stuck on a painting.
AG: What medium do you prefer and why t
8F: Oil, because of the richness, the colors, the depth, because you can cover up a mistake ami go back over it, you can change it. You can still use it like watereolor, too, if you thin it well with turpentine.

SF: I work with phrAographs. I have the fastest, camera you can buy, a Nikon digital, and I can capture so many fnum* a second. It's really important that you have the accuracy. You cant fool anybody when you (sunt horses, you have to get tlieir conformation right.
