GREEN APPLE PIE by Mrs. Louis Moore, Sr. Flint Hill, Va. 4 cups green apples (peeled and sliced) 1 cup sugar Vi teaspoon cinnamon V* teaspoon nutmeg Lemon juice, few drops Butter Place peeled and sliced green apples in unbaked pie shell. Add sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, a few drops of lemon juipe, and a few dabs * of butter. 4flace unbaked top crust on and bake in moderate oven. APPLE SAUCE CAKE by Mrs. Louis Moore, Sr. Flint Hill, Va. Vi cup butter 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon soda 1 cup apple sauce 1 cup seeded raisins 1 cup nuts ^ 1 teaspoon cinnamon Vi teaspoon ground cloves 2 cups flour Cream butter, add sugar gradually and mix until well blended. Mix the soda with apple sauce and add the creamed butter and sugar. Stir in raisins and nuts, then add the spices and flour sifted together and mix until smooth. Bake in buttered and floured pan (350 degrees) about 45 minutes.
