In the pressing defensive action by Rappahannock, the opponents turned the ball over 21 times crediting the local team with 10 steals. Rebounding advantage for Rappahannock was 45-26. However, Montevideo took the lead at the end of the first quarter only to lose it to Rappahannock at the half. Montevideo went ahead by two points in the third but Rappahannock regained control for a final 64-48 score.
In an aggressive contest last week the local JV’s topped Elkton for a 34-21 victory. Judy Lynn was high scorer with 17 points followed by Rhonda Brown with 8.
The Rappahannock girls had a 6-4 opening quarter and pulled ahead at the half. Each team scored nine points in the third quarter and Rappahannock completely outscored Elkton in the last quarter for the final 34-21 score.
