On Saturday, Mrs. Paul Wiley of Amissville, Mrs. Mac Arthur Dodson and Mrs. Richard Burke cohosted a trip to the National Zoo in Washington, D. C. Included were El wood, John, Cathy, and Gena Dodson, Steve and Tammy Baldwin of Washington, Frankie, Travis and Lisa Wiley of Amissville, Bonnie Norman and Dicky Burke.
Robert Apperson of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Clark and Misty Hitt were in South Hill last week attending the 55th annual Virginia State Foxhound Field Trial held at the Elm Hill Wildlife Management Area. While in South Hill, they visited Mrs. Ruth Ogburn of Union Level and Mr. and Mrs. A. A. LeGrand of Boydton, returning home Sunday.

The youth of the Washington Baptist Church will have a haunted house on Oct. 31 from 7 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. in the back rooms of the church. All young children from local communities are invited to come.
