New Members
The Rappahannock Lions Club met the goals established for Lions International Membership Month in October as six new members were inducted into the Club at Wednesday’s meeting. The 20 per cent growth achieved during the membership drive is considered a “significant achievement” measured against Lions International standards. As their wives watched, Huey Atkins of Sperryville, William F. “Yogi” Bear of Washington, Sidney Mank of Washington, Nestor Samson of Sperryville, Hayward Whorton of Flint Hill and Carson Johnson of Sperryville were inducted into the Rappahannock Club by Lion District Governor Ken Hitch. Following the ceremony, Bobby Layman from the Dahlgren Lions Club presented a program on sight conservation.
