Over the past months, Butch Davies has walked hundreds of miles—many of them over dusty roads far back into the country. He walked those many miles for the purpose of seeing first-hand the condition of our rural roads, but more than that, he wanted to talk with—and listen to—the people of these Virginia counties. He wanted to hear their thoughts, their problems, their hopes. For if he can win election to the House of Delegates, it will then be his responsibility to provide the type of leadership that responds to both the problems and the hopes of the ’70’s.
