Compton with 16 points, while Brooke Miller tossed in 10 points. The leading rebounder was again “Dr. 1” himself, Danny Jett, with 10 and “Leaping Leggs”, Donnie Compton pulled down 10 too. Despite an injury to his knee, Greg Stump managed to come up with 8 rebounds. Coach Moffett was yelling his team on all the way and has as much heart and soul as anyone on the court.
The Junior Varsity came out on the victorious side with a final score of 44-28. Teamwork was the name of the game, as Coach Logan sat back calm and cool, watching his team cruise to a victory. Leading scorers were Greg Bright with 14 points and also was the teamleader in rebounds with 13. Gary Leake chalked up 12 points and Tony Wayland threw in 8 points, the last 2 coming in the last seconds before the 4th quarter. He pumped this one in at midcourt. DO it ANTHONY.
Friday is the Panthers next home game, hosting the Central Falcons. The fans’ support was tremendous at the last game, so come on out and lend your support once again. You won’t be sorry—you’ll see two excellent games and probably stay on the edge of your seat. We wish you guys good luck.
The S.C.A. met Monday, Dec. 5. We discussed what we would do for a Christmas program. Hopefully we can get the teachers to put on a skit for the students. Seems like the students would enjoy laughing at the teachers instead of laughing at other students.
