You say some women are pitching hay. Sure, and why not? More money and attention is spent on the animals in Rappahannock County than on the precious children God has entrusted us with. Any woman could pitch a fork full of hay, but it takes devotion and love to give our home and family the care God wants it to have and which is our responsibility, as women, to give it.

Let’s ask ourselves this question: If World War III should come—and surely it could—are we women who want the ERA and want to rule over the man ready to shoulder our guns and go fight for Rappahannock, the little county we are living it up in, and for America while we leave our husbands at home to care for those things which are our duty to care for? You should be if you are for the ERA.

Let’s do as it tells us in II Chron. 7-14 and maybe God will hear and heal our land again. Let’s face it—we are living in a sin-sick society. Also, read what Isaiah 3-12 has to say about women ruling over us.

Let’s give our children the attention, love and care they need and deserve and run our homes as would be well pleasing to God. Then if something goes wrong, we can have a clear conscience. We made Our place a home instead of a house.
