Sgt. and Mrs. David Williams, Tommy and Tammy, of Front Royal spent Wednesday and Thursday of last week with Mr. and Mrs. Timmy Williams and family before David’s departure Friday on a three-year tour in Germany where Mrs. Williams and children will join him later.
Sunday at a birthday dinner for Mrs. Daniel Mahoney in the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Starnes and Mr. Starnes in Front Royal, the guests included, from Chester Gap, Mr. and Mrs. John Williams, and Gary; Mr. and Mrs. Horace Dulin; Mr. and Mrs. Haywood Williams, Rhonda and April; and Norma Jean Williams. Others present were, Mrs. Patty Ritenour, Tracy and Amy; and Brian and Lori Starnes.
April Williams returned to school Monday after a week’s absence due to illness.
Mrs. Walter H. Williams, Jr. and Gilbert Smith' oft* Front Royal were in Perry Point, Md., Friday to visit the former’s brother, Eugene Pearson, a patient in the Veterans Administration Center.
Lee and Wayne Funkhouser of Leesburg and John Roberts and Joe Hilliard, both of Centerville were guests in the James E. Williams’ home Friday and Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sealock were in Gaithersburg, Md., Monday for Mr. Sealock’s medical checkup.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Fox, with son Alan Fox, accompanied the fifth and sixth graders of Ressie Jefferies School to the Aerospace Museum in Washington, D. C. last Thursday.
Practicing is under way at the Chester Gap Baptist Church for the Christmas program which will include a play entitled “Letty’s Christmas Prodigal,” to be given Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m.
