Our Thanks
To the editor:
Speaking for the 9 businesses which currently compose the Washington Business Council, I would like to express our delight with your lead editorial (“When Possible, Shop at Home”) in the Dec. 1 issue of the Rappahannock News.
The long hours and hard work by many talented and conscientious individuals is beginning to blossom into what we feel is a very interesting collection of shops, which do indeed have much to offer the local consumer as well as the tourist. The shops reflect the many styles of living in Rappahannock. Especially for gifts, they offer a more personal selection than larger commercial establishments.
Your support of our efforts is very much appreciated, and we hope to continue our growth in a manner that will further enhance the attractiveness of the community and provide the buying public with a widening variety of quality merchandise and services.
