—Rappahannock News Staff Photo WILLIAM BYWATERS was recognized Sunday for serving as treasurer of the Amissville Baptist Church for fifty years. The Rev. J. S. Stirman presents a certificate of recognition. Mr. Bywaters said when he first took the office the minister was paid only once every three months, on communion Sunday and there was only one service each month. The minister also held the pastorate of four churches in the county. Now the pastor is paid each week, the sexton and organist, once each month and the salary scale is quite improved.
