Sheriff and Mrs. W. A. Buntin entertained with dinner Saturday evening at Graves Mountain Lodge for Dick Jenkins and Martin Orfila, members of the Sheriff s Department who have resigned.
Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins and Kim, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Baines, R. D. Hawkins and Ron and Martin Orfila, all of Washington, Miss Sandy Stenglein of Rochester. N. Y., Mr. and Mrs. Richard Settle, Flint Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jackson, Mrs. Judy Harrison and Holly Pendleton, all of Sperryville and Mrs. Elizabeth Streagle, Amissville.
Orfila left this week to be a conditional trainee with the Virginia Department of State Police. Jenkins will terminate his position as corrections officer in Rappahannock on April 17 and will join the police department of Prince William County.
Sheriff Buntin presented each of the young men a pen and pencil set.
