Martinsville and a 59 Volkswagen operated by Linda Heimstra of Washington, Va.

According to Trooper Baines Linda Heimstra sustained a broken leg and lacerations and was taken to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. The VW was a total loss and the Haskell car had $500 estimated damage.

The same day a hit and run collision occurred at Sperryville involving a 65 Ford parked at Sperryville Exxon and owned by Eugene Atkins of Sperryville. The Ford was struck by , an unidentified .motorist travelling east op. Jjtoute 211, who failed to stop at the scene, according to Trooper Baines.

The Rev. B. G. Titchenell of Woodville was cited for improper backing when he struck a Plymouth owned by Mrs. Dorothy Rector of Marshall which was parked on the street in the Town of Washington. Titchenell was driving a 74 American Motors station wagon. Damage was minor.
