Formed
The Sperryville Business Council, formed for the purpose of creating interest and promoting businesses in the Sperryville area, held its first organizational meeting on Tuesday night. Jimmy Swindler was elected Chairman, Wilson Burke vice-chairman and Martha O’Bannon secretarytreasurer. Work on drawing up a Council charter will continue with the next meeting scheduled for April 25 at 8 p.m. in the fire hall. All interested Sperryville business people are invited to attend and join and Council.

The “Miss Rappahannock” beauty pageant sponsored by Sperryville Rescue Squad will be held April 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the local elementary school. Admission will be S2. Rehearsal will be April 19 at 7 p.m. at the school.
