Mrs. Helen Holschuh of Castleton was one of seven persons presented the Thanks Badge at the annual meeting of the Virginia Skyline Girl Scout Council at Harrisonburg Saturday.
Tlie Thanks Badge is the highest award and greatest honor that Girl Scouts bestow on adult members. The badge symbolizes devotion and dedication to Girl Scouting, above and beyond normal expectations.
Mrs. Holschuh started her scouting career as a girl member in Pennsylvania. As an adult she was active in Hawaii, Washington, D.C. and in Germany before settling in Castleton.
She has served as association chairman, board member, day camp director, cadette leader, senior adviser, service unit chairman, delegate to the Girl Scout National Convention, trainer, consultant, and member of the Girl Scout Selection Committee.
Mrs. Holschuh also is involved in church, garden club and 4-H club work, as well as the League for Environmental Protection.
Summer Intern
On April 16, Washington Baptist Church will have a covered dish dinner following 11 o’clock worship service. Along with general fellowship, this will provide an opportunity for the congregation to meet Miss Cindy Harris of James Madison University, who will be a summer intern at Washington Baptist Church beginning June 9, 1978.
