Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Frazier were honored on their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday with a surprise party given by their children at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Holtzman Frazier and James of Fredericksburg, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville, Miss Brenda Frazier and Donnie Johnston of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. James Knick and Jason of Oxon Hill, Md., Mrs Agnes Holdren of Camp Springs, Md., Mr. and Mrs. Lacy Corbin and Mr. and Mrs. James Dodson of Winchester, Mrs. Harry Racey, Katie Jane and Cliff of Rapidan, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meade of Griffinsburg and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Jenkins of Boston.

Visits to Shenandoah National Park this March amounted to less than half those for March, 1977, according to information from Park Superintendent Robert R. Jacobsen. In March, 1978, 67,700 people visited the Park compared to 158,100 the previous year. For Calendar V^«y/ 1978 compared with Calendar Year 1977, the decrease is 54.6 percent.
Jacobsen attributed part of the reported decrease to procedures for counting travel that were adopted on January 1, 1978. A new multiplier (2.8 rather than 3.5) is being used for converting vehicles to visitors and travel on only three secondary roads is being counted.
At the Park's weather station in Big Meadows, the maximum temperature recorded in March was 64 degrees and the minimum was -2 degrees. Precipitation totaled 3.51 inches and snowfall totaled 10.5 inches.
