Reasonable Charge
Luke said he’d checked with several other attorney! and had been told that $2,500 to $3,000 was a reasonable charge to defend the BZA against the ski area's petition for a reversal in the decision to deny the special use permit application.
Gardiner added that Fitzgerald had agreed to take the case on an hourly basis and was using the least amount of hours possible. “He agreed he will not go over $3,000 for this hearing,” Gardiner said.
Supervisor H. B. Wood agreed with Luke and Gardiner th'at a joint meeting with the BZA would "help to calm the waters.” He reported that he had voted against intervening in the ski area suit during the Supervisors' previous executive session in another attempt to calm the situation.
“Mr. Davis, you're our counsel,” said Luke. “Do you think a joint meeting would help?” he asked.

Dying”
Death is a subject that everyone must face, but few care to think about. At some point in life, the prospect of death becomes reality. People undergo conflicting emotions in coping with the reality of death, whether it be facing dying oneself, or facing the loss of a loved one.
The Mental Health Association of Culpeper is sponsoring a program for the public on the subject of "Death and Dying”. The program will feature Father William A. Wendt, former Rector of St. Stephen of the Incarnation in Washington, D. C. Father Wendt is now devoting his time exclusively to the research and study of the problems of death and dying. The program will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. April 18, in the Parish Hall of St. Stephen's Church, Culpeper. It will be followed by a discussion period during which questions may be asked of Father Wendt.
