The site development plan was initially presented at the planners’ April 18 meeting. No action was taken. Instead, the planners asked Rapp Ski Limited’s general partner Eric Adamson for current certification from the Health and Highway Departments on sanitary facilities and road access. The planners also suggested a review of the ski area’s erosion and sedimentation control plan as it related to control of run-off from the 536-car parking lot.
At the April 25 meeting, Adamson gave the planners letters from resident highway engineer Don Askew and sanitarian Jack Lockhart. Askew wrote that the existing entrance from the ski area on to Route 622 as shown in the site plan will be “adequate for the foreseeable future.” He noted that the highway department reserved the right “to recommend additional improvements to the entrance as changing traffic conditions may warrant.”
According to Lockhart’s letter, the ski area's lodge is “connected to an approved private water supply and an approved subsurface sewage system.” He also noted that the Health Department reserved the right to monitor use of the systems.
