The Miss Rappahannock Beauty Pageant sponsored by the Sperryville Rescue Squad will be Friday, May 18, at 7 p.m. in the elementary school auditorium. Applications are available from Mrs. Cecil Baldwin (987-8240) and Mrs. Sandra Brown (987-8758) and should be completed with an entry fee of $10 by a local sponsor. Proceeds from the beauty pageant will go towards remodeling the VFW Hall at Sperryville into a new home for the rescue squad.
George Beard, Rappahannock’s delegate to the Virginia General Assembly, will serve as master of ceremonies. Judges for the pageant will be Tom D. Geoghegan, State Senator A. Joseph Canada and Mrs. Sandy Canada.
