RECEIVING SPECIAL AWARDS at the Flint Hill Firemen’s banquet Saturday night were H. S. Barksdale and Gaynell Russell, right, pictured with Mary Curtis, Flint Hill Auxiliary president, center. Barksdale was cited for 25 years as president and as the only president of the fire company. The larger plaque contained the names of all company charter members and the small one was a certificate of appreciation. Mrs. Russell, charter president of the Ladies Auxiliary, was given a plaque with charter member names engraved.
