Mishaps
Several minor traffic mishaps have been reported in Rappahannock by Trooper R. A. Baines in the past week. Carl Alan Soloman of Potomac, Md. and Patrick Henry Paul of Warrenton were involved in a collision on Route 211 at the intersection of Route 522 at Massies Corner on April 6.
According to Baines, Soloman, operating a 71 Ford, entered Route 211 from 522 into the path of Paul who was westbound in a 70 Toyota. Soloman was cited for failing to yield the right of way. Damage was estimated at $400 to Soloman and $450 to Paul.
Three vehicles joined forces in front of B & B Service Station west of Washington Monday.
Irene Gertrude Fletcher of Washington in a 78 Ford pickup was traveling east when Cornelious D. Fincham of Washington, westbound in a 68 Chevrolet pickup, made a left turn into the service station and was hit by the Fletcher truck. A third car, a 78 Ford driven by Floyd Stbneberger of Stanley following Fincham was struck by the Fletcher car as it careened from the blow by Fincham.
Fincham was cited for failing to yield the right-ofway.
