Baptism

Caroline Hampton Baumgardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas K. Baumgardner of Sperryville, received the infant rites of holy baptism on Easter Sunday, April 6, 1980 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington. The Rev. Jennings W. Hobson III performed the ceremony.

Godparents of the infant are Mrs. Carl B. Frye of Dyke and John Baumgardner of Washington. Caroline wore the baptismal dress of her grandmother, Mrs. Joseph DeJarnette of Culpeper.

Exchange

Local extension agents in conjunction with the U. S. Food and Drug Administration will sponsor a Consumer Information Exchange on Tuesday, April IS, in Culpeper. The meeting will provide an opportunity for direct person-to-person exchange of information and ideas on new developments, issues and mutual concerns between consumers and the Food and Drug Administration. It will give the FDA as a consumer protection agency the chance to hear from consumers regarding the agency’s decision making process.
