If the wet mash is fed to cattle, Green continued, it’s best to pour it on hay or other bulk feed.
Distillers grains can also be fed to hogs in a wet state but not on a daily basis. Percentage of total feed must be less for hogs than for cattle, according to Green. It can also be fed to chickens after it is first dried. He noted, however, that distillers grains aren’t widely used as a chicken feed.
