As late as World War II, alcohol was a widely accepted fuel, he continued nothing that Germany used alcohol to fill most of its power needs, including airplane fuel, during the war.
This country is currently spending between $40 and $70 billion a year on imported oil. “We’re going to have to reduce that exchange if we’re going to survive as a nation,” Smith stated.
According to Smith, use of alcohol fuels will:
—provide a reliable market for U.S. grain,
—decrease the country’s dependance on foreign oil,
—expand motor fuel supplies,
