Saturday May 17 is the date of Sperryville's special Bike-A-Thon for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Riders will be asking local citizens to pledge a small contribution for each mile they ride.
Mrs. Ruth Williams, chairman, explained “All the money that our local riders earn will help continue St. Jude's life-saving study of childhood cancer that has become so important to children all over the world. We’ll be showing how much we care about children by helping this cause. Please support your rider with a generous pledge, and then, help them get the funds to us as soon as possible after the ride is over."
