Spaghetti Dinner

Plans Progress , .

V

Plans for the second annual spaghetti dinner to benefit Sursum Corda School and Day Care Center are well under way, according to Camille Harris, its founder. Community support of the event is essential if as much as a thousand dollars is to be realized to go towards a building fund.

With help from community, state, federal and private foundation sources, Sursum Corda hopes to build a permanent structure to house its expanding child care and educational enrichment programs within the next two years. Most funding sources will contribute financially only if funds are matched by the local community. The school and center has been in operation in Rappahannock for four years and is located near Washington on Route 626.

The spaghetti dinner will be held in Trinity Episcopal Church parish hall in Washington on Saturday, April 19. Serving time is 5 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at Nature’s Foods, Beauty Box and at the door. Patron tickets for businesses and individuals are also available by calling the school at 6753237. In addition to the dinner, homemade desserts will be on sale.
