A project to aid in youth and adult recreation has been launched by Mr. and Mrs. John Early of Early’s Carpet in Amissville and includes funding for ball teams and the purchase of land for a recreational facility for the area.
According to Mrs. Early, a drive is in progress to replenish the ball teams, like Pony League. Pee Wees, Little League Midgets, etc. with funds for 1980.

Workshop Set
Dr. Wayne E. Oates will be the guest speaker at the Second Annual Religion and Mental Health Workshop to be held in Culpeper, on May 27. He will be speaking on “Diagnosing and Treating Pathological Religion,” and ‘‘Characteristics of a Genuinely Healthy Religion.”
Dr. Oates, a Baptist minister, is professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Kentucky. Prior to assuming this position, he was professor of Psychology and Director of Graduate Studies in the School of Theology at the Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville.
The workshop will begin at 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with registration and refreshments available at 8:30 a.m. at the Culpeper Baptist Chruch. To pre-register, mail a check for $4.00 (payable to the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board) to Mrs. Betty Clark, Community Mental Health Center, 401 South Main Street, Culpeper, Virginia 22701.
