Meeting Date

Changed

tleginning in May, the Rappahannock supervisors will hold their regular board meetings on the first Monday of the month rather than the first Thursday.

Chairman E. P. Luke suggested the change as a means of reducing the time lag between action taken at the meetings and the report of decisions made by the supervisors which appears a we4k later in the Rappahannock News. “Every issue gets discussed ad infinitum” he said, noting that the supervisors are hit by a barage of questions a week after each board meeting as a result of accounts in the newspaper.

The motion to change the meeting date, effective May 5, passed unanimously. Sessions will continue to begin at 10 a.m. in the courthouse at Washington.
