As many of the members and friends of the Rappahannock Historical Society know, the society is planning to sponsor a Civil War battle reenactment to be hosted by the First North-South Brigade. We hope to raise several thousand dollars through this project which will;be used to retire the debt on our restored building in Washington.
Several meetings were scheduled earlier this year at which we hoped to organize the membership into committees to formulate specific plans for this worthwhile event and to carry those plans into effect. Unfortunately all of these meetings were either poorly attended or cancelled due to inclement weather.
This letter is to advise you that our planning meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 17, 1980 at the Courthouse building in Washington at 7:30 p.m. We need a minimum of twentyfive people to act as committee chairmen and cochairmen.
