Northern Virginia Fox Hunters held their quarterly meeting in Culpeper and a field trial and bench show was planned for August.
Gavor Foster of Flint Hill received a trophy for bagging the largest deer during the hunting season. The game contest was sponsored by the Rappahannock Fish and Game Club.

Woodvilie was damaged by fire. A defective chimney was the apparent cause of the afternoon blaze. In Flint Hill a large house occupied by Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Williams was completely destroyed by fire.
Rappahannock Board of Supervisors set the tax levy for the year at $2.00 with $1.75 for schools; 10 cents for general fund and 15 cents for reassessment.
A Baptist Training Union was organized at the Amissville Baptist Church with William Bywaters as director.
The meat house of Sam Compton at Amissville was entered and about 11 or 12 pieces of meat were taken. Sheriff James Lillard and Trooper W. A. Bun tin were investigating the crime.
Census takas woe on the job and the only complaints registered by folk were that the enumerators were too industrious. They came too early in the morning and insisted in filling out all of the blanks in the forms.
