RAPPAHANNOCK POINT-TO-POINT RACES are scheduled for this Sunday, April 27 at Thornton Hill Farm south of Sperryville beginning at 11 a.m. Katie, “the old gray mare” over 25 years old, at Thornton Hill was the winner of one of the first Rappahannock pair races. Wrapping up plans for the race are Oliver Durant II, former race chairman; Larry LeHew, assistant chairman; James W. Fletcher, Jr. on whose farm the races will take place and Wit Kuncewicz, race chairman.
