Race In May
The Loudoun Memorial 10-Miler, a class road run over scenic countryside with start and finish in historic Leesburg, will be held Saturday, May 17. An added feature of the day will be a two-mile Walk-Run for Fun.
The first part of the ten mile run is moderately upgrade and all ten miles are hard surfaced. The course proceeds from Catoctin Elementary School for four miles through moderately rolling countryside to a turnaround that offers a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, returning to the historic section of Leesburg. The rural section of the run will be monitored by mounted members of the Loudoun Hunt in their traditional “Pinks.”
Contestant headquarters will be at the Loudoun County High School where locker room facilities have been made available.
Entry fee is SS with proceeds benefiting Loudoun Memorial Hospital. Teeshirts will be given to all participants and awards will be made to the first three finishers in each age division.
