Mrs. Jean Elliot Page Buxton, widow of the Rev. Clarence Edward Buxton, Rector-Emeritus of Pohick Episcopal Church at Lorton, died Monday, April 21, 1980 at Sleepy Hollow Manor Nursing Home, Annandale. She was 88 years of age.
Mrs. Buxton was born January 29, 1892 in Richmond, the daughter of William Nelson Page and Katherine Boylan Green.
She is survived by a son, Edward Nelson Buxton of Annandale and a daughter, Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Jr. of Washington; three grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Pohick Church, conducted by the Rev. Albert Jones of Pohick assisted by the Rev. Jennings Hobson, III of Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to Pohick Building Fund, the Martha Guild or the Ann Mason Guild of Pohick Church.
