Arrival dates vary, and if one family can’t host an exchange youth for the full five weeks, several families could share the visit, Schultz explained, adding that you don’t need to be a member of the Lions Gub to participate.
This is the sixth year for Rappahannock Lions Gub participation in the program. Foreign students from Finland, France, and Germany have visited the Holschuhs of Castleton, the Nichols’ of Flint Hill, the Ingles and Harris’ of Washington, and the Thornhills of Boston. Up to now, all visitors have been boys; this is the first year for girls to be hosted in our county.
Host families are expected t to meet their students at the ! airport and provide them with free room and board and entertainment for their visit.
