Last year, 22S Rappahannock County residents were examined in the van. Referrals for further medical attention were necessary following 25 hearing tests, 54 vision tests, and 5 glaucoma tests. Thus, the Lions’ screening program provided early detection for 84 local young people and adults who might otherwise not have known that they had a correctible vision or hearing defect.
