She’s been working with her girls for seven years. 'Tve been with these kids from Brownies on through. 1 took over this group in second grade. When they moved up, I moved up with them.” Pat said. “Now they need a break,” she added, explaining that she’ll stay on with Cadettes and hand her charges over to Janet DeRoo for senior scouting.
First Class Charilenge
In their last big step as Cadettes, five girls from Pat’s troop advanced to first class scouts in ceremonies held last Sunday. In order to make first class, roughly the equivalent of Eagle rank in Boy Scouts, the girls completed four challenges and six badges in arts, out-of-doors, health and safety, citizenship, international understanding and home.
