Ar—Ul Kwnufi Wrfcf Pussy willows were created to be picked in Spring and brought into the house where children can stroke the fuzz and admire the subtle shades of pink-on-gray which color the remarkable catkins.

For a few weeks the downy buds remain in perfect condition, plump and colorful. Soon enough the true flowers of the plant appear as the male catkins erupt in a yellow bottle brush of pollen. Small green shoots of new leaves follow within a few weeks.

If your aim is to maintain your pussy willows in their furry prime, do not bother to put them in water. The natural progression of flowering and sprouting will continue right on your dining room table. As a dried arrangement they will keep until dust and time dull their attractiveness.
