ihe wedding of Edie Mae Hackley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hackley of Amissville, to Franklin Fishback, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bonner Fishback of Warrenton, took place Saturday, March 29.
The double ring ceremony was performed at 2 o’clock at the Amissville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ray Crockett.
Miss Becky Stirman played the traditional wedding music at the organ. Miss Sharon Settle sang I Honestly Love You, accompanied by Miss Wanda Heflin.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a long white satin dress, with a lace-over-satin skirt and a lace yoke. The gown was made by her mother. Her veil trimmed with matching lace was made by Frances Lawrence. She carried white daisies, baby’s breath aqd stephanotis.
Mrs. Brenda Oark was matron of honor for her sister, wearing a long yellow dress with a sheer floral cape and carrying a nosegay of yellow daisies and baby’s breath.
