Flint Hill firemen opened their annual carnival last night and it will continue through Saturday. Tonight’s feature is the grand parade which begins at 6:30 p.m. with the newly crowned Miss Virginia as grand marshal. Also in the parade will be Miss Shenandoah Apple Blossom and others. These will be joined by bands, floats, marching units, fire and rescue equipment, majorettes and Shrine units. A box supper served by the Ladies Auxiliary will be available on the carnival grounds Thursday evening.
