While the money has been awarded, a two-part release is necessary to actually receive it. The first involves reapproval of the oommunity plan. No problem is anticipated here as the individual responsible for approval sat in on writing of the final plan and voiced no objections at that time.
The second key to the release is the letter of endorsement from the local board of supervisors. If this letter is not forthcoming in the August board meeting, the entire community stands to lose a great deal as far as improved emergency medical care goes, according to the EMS Council. Active support of the fire and rescue squads at the upcoming meeting is now being recruited.
