Fletcher

Aaron John Fletcher, 44, of Washington died Tuesday, July 21, 1961, in a farm pond accident.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at the First Bethlehem Baptist Church in Washington by the Rev. C. C Rucker of Brightwood. Burial was in Culpeper National Cemetery.

He was born September 18, 1936, a son of Elder and Mrs. Aaron Richard Fletcher of Washington, who survive him.

He attended the public schools of Rappahannock County, graduated from Carver High School in Culpeper, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Virginia State College in Petersburg in 1961.

He joined the U. S. Army and was promoted to captain within five years, retiring in 1966.
