choose between lawtul, chaotic and neutral good, neutral and lawful, chaotic and neutral evil. The distinctions are often blurred and it takes an expert to explain some of the fine lines.
Once the basic shape of the players’ characters are created, they use their wealth, won through more rolls of the dice, to buy scolls, weapons and potions at a magic shop. Purchases and characters all recorded on sheets of paper, they enter the dungeon ready to fight off monsters and work their way out of traps thrown at them by the dungeon master. For each obstacle overcome and every treasure claimed, they accumulate wealth and points, tickets to higher levels and more power.
