Richard S. Bates, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Bates of Arlington and Boston, has received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Radford University. He has-accepted a position as game warden with the Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries and on July 17 was assigned to Northumberland County.
