This Friday, July 31, a free oral cancer clinic will be held from I to 6 p.m. at the Rappahannock health department's offices in the Clopton House in Washington.

The county unit of the American Cancer Society, joint sponsor of the clinic, offers the following “Test Your Cancer 1.0.” quiz as an inducement to area residents to take advantage of this free service:

1. How long does it take to do an oral cancer examination?

Two to three minutes.

2. How often should you do an oral cancer examination?

At least once a year and more often in high risk patients.

3. Name 5 warning signs of oral cancer?
