Fantasy Alter Egos
Players keep the same character, game after game. It becomes almost an alter ego.
In our house dwells a 15th level paladin, Duke Malendar, who possesses the word. Holy Avenger. To hear the kids talk about it, the Duke can iay waste to whole armies just by striking the ground with his marvelous weapon.
We also share our home with a seventh level monk who’s more than a little envious of Malendar’s sword. ‘‘He got lucky on a few rolls, incredibly lucky,” the good monk said of his sibling. He's hoping for the same stroke of fortune in his fight to become Grand Master of Flowers, the highest level of monkdom.
