Pullen
Elmer Branson Pullen, 70, of Washington died on Saturday, July 24, 1982, in a Charlottesville hospital.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church in Culpeper by the Rev. John K. Burke and Rev. Edward Hawkins. Burial was in the Pullen family cemetery on Pickerel Ridge.
Born in Rappahannock County on January 29, 1912, he was the son of the late Romey B. and Minnie Atkins Pullen.
Mr. Pullen is survived by one son. Branson Pullen of Jeffersonton; four daughters, Mrs. Annie Belle Cassidy of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Eva Marie Jenkins and Mrs. Rena Mae Jenkins, both of Washington, and Miss Shirley Anna Pullen of Annandale; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors include his stepmother, Mrs. Mae Pullen of Washington; a sister, Mrs. Alice Beahm, of Washington; two half sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Ralls and Mrs. Peggy Huff, both of Washington; three brothers, Russell Pullen and Charlie Pullen, both of Washington, and Clyde Pullen of Sperryville, and one half brother, Ronnie Pullen of Glen Burnie, Md.
